Good job on breaking the barrier and good luck on making it above 100,000. This is a great, informative blog

Hey there Andy - Thanks for the comments:

re: Alexa changes - My thoughts there are simply that is out of my control if they change their re-direct link.

So, right now, I am of the opinion that different size blogs may have different levels of goals... right now we are focusing on what we believe to be giving us the largest boost, once we have a more popular site, we may make changes in philosophy, but for now, we are applying the "if it ain't broke - don't fix it..." measure.

re: Sociable - I am on my way to check out and probably install your version - thanx for the tip!

Mark what happens if Alexa change the redirect URL?

Changes in Alexa rating are really based upon having a little more traffic recently, and nothing probably to do with the redirects.

They also look ugly like uncloaked affiliate links, thus people are less inclined to click them.

p.s. you really should use my antisocial version of Sociable, you are giving away lots of link juice to meaningless forms.
