@Jim - I dropped about 20lbs during my 2 weeks, wasn't hungry at all... but it is important to note that I gained all the weight back after stopping the juice feast. Now, I do not regret it at all, because, I was not doing it to lose weight... I wanted to give my body a "reset" - Not sure if the feast will give you the type of weight loss you are looking for, but, as always, make sure you speak to your doctor or health care providers before making any sort of major decision like this.

Fasting is not my idea of a healthy eating plan. It's fine as a quick start or to shed some pounds quickly to lose weight fast for a special occassion, for instance.

For long term weight loss you should be aiming for a gradual reduction of pounds and to re-think your eating habits, otherwise all the weight will go back on again.

Good luck with it!

Curious to know how many pounds you dropped during your juice-fast, and while you were doing it, did you feel hungry at all?

I'm glad to see you've come up with a long term plan of diet and exercise, but I need to drop quite a few pounds in a short amount of time. I've got a wedding coming up, not mine, but I want to look good for it.

Trying a fasting or detoxification diet is something you should only do for a short time. Losing body fat can take some time but if you follow the right diet and exercise program it can be done.

You know it's great that you're continuing with the weight loss and doing it sensibly and slowly - one of the hardest things for the body to deal with is sudden changes in weight - although it is possible to lose weight very quickly. The normal problem is that people lose weight rapidly and then put it all back on again. Then simply rinse and repeat.

This causes major problems to your muscle mass without which it is very difficult to lose weight in the first place. So over time as people yo-yo their muscle mass slowly dimishes and it becomes harder and harder to lose weight.

Keep up the good work - I suppose now it's September you could add a little progress update!!

Best wishes, Dan

Howdy Ami - thanks for the comment... I'm a guy though. The woman in the video that I posted is not me *grins*

I was on the juice fast for a week and dropped a "TON" of weight - but that was not the goal nor the purpose, I just felt great after a week.

After that I have gained the weight back, but feel better. Now I am slowly losing again with exercise and watching what I eat.

Chin up girl. The Juice feast sounds awesome. Problem is what will it do for you long term. With the recent artery blockage, you should possibly consider more long term options.
Change just one thing everyday and it soon adds up

Good luck

I did a juice fast a couple of months ago. It really helped me to reduce my general calorie intake. I would suggest reducing your calories to stuff like fruit the day before you begin the juice fast, then when you break it, do it the same way, but eating really lite for the next 24 hrs. It really hurts your stomach if you break a fast with a big meal.
